On November 8, 2020, in High Point, North Carolina, Fred Cox was shot and killed by a Davidson County deputy during a funeral service at the Living Water Baptist Church that was interrupted by other gunfire. Mr. Cox, who served as a pallbearer at the funeral, was unarmed when killed by a scared cop while seeking shelter from a nearby shooting. My clients Vivian Wright and her minor son were injured by the reckless acts of the deputy, as well.
